My mum always used to remind me that she knew she had made the right decision in moving to Bromley Cross and indeed in becoming a member of St John's parish, when the loveliest , kindest man changed her flat tyre for her after mass one Sunday. That lovely man was Bernard and she always said how he personified all that she loved about St Johns parishioners. I know she'll still be thanking him now in heaven. xx Marie Irving-Murphy.
